In Transit (Depot to Depot)
In Transit (Depot to Depot)
When your account has multiple sites under the one account number then you can track pallet movements between these sites by creating Depot to Depot dockets in the Create Docket menu in PalletWatch.
When you do a stocktake it is possible that some of these depot to depot pallet movements have left your sending depot but have not arrived at your receiving depot, i.e they are in transit. If these pallets in transit are not taken into account then your stocktake will be understated.
Things to note:
- In transit pallets do not affect the sending depot. The pallets will already have left the depot and are thus not included in the count. If they are still at the sending depot when the count is being conducted then they should not be included in the count as they will be included in the receiving depot's in transit figure. This applies if the depot to depot despatch date is on or before the stocktake date at the sending depot.
- Depot to depot movements will appear in Confirm Receipts which can be found in the Actions menu. If they have not been confirmed as received then they will be regarded as in transit for the receiving depot. If they have been confirmed as received but the received date is after the stocktake date then they will appear as in transit for the receiving depot.
