IOUs Opening Balance

When starting a new PalletWatch account PalletWatch does not import IOU or Non Hire Moves from other systems.  The process to take account of your old IOUs is as follows:
  1. Save your old IOU transactions to a file, e.g. Excel, csv, PDF, etc.
  2. Create a Non Hire Move Off if the trading partner owes you equipment or a Non Hire Move On if you owe them equipment.
  3. Use the date of the last transaction as your movement date.
  4. Use the IOU balance as the quantity for the Non Hire Move.
  5. Attach the IOU file to PalletWatch - this can be done by dropping the file into the box below the equipment on the Non Hire Move docket.
  6. If you need to send details of IOUs to your trading partner then print out an Owed Equipment Report and attach the file saved from your old system - in some cases this could be from your Transport Management System, Microsoft Excel or any other system.
