Missing Transfer On Dockets

It is common to have missing transfer on dockets.  Quite often it is not the fault of the sender but of truck drivers and poor docket management practices.  If you get a delivery and the driver is unable to provide you with a transfer on docket then there are a number of actions which could be taken:
  1. You could ask the driver to get one emailed through to you before you unload the truck.  This policy is mandatory with some customers.
  2. You could provide the driver with a handwritten missing docket form which later needs to be submitted along with a transfer docket.
  3. You could raise a transfer on docket in PalletWatch with the system generating a docket number.  This means that the docket number needs to be set to Auto.   Type "No docket" in the Reconcile Notes and enter as many references as possible.  If the sender's transfer on docket comes through in an import from CHEP or Loscam then you can use the "Find Match" button when reconciling the docket.  
The number of missing transfer on dockets is a useful measure of how effective your pallet management practices are.  If you have ongoing large number of missing on dockets then you need to work through this with senders and carriers to eliminate them.
