Reinstate A Transfer On Docket
You can reinstate a transfer on docket from Dockets under Data in the main menu. The Reinstate option can be found by selecting the Edit button at the left of the screen. You can then select Reinstate or Reinstate/Correct from the Action field.
Reinstatement on to Your Account
You can reinstate a transfer on docket provided that it has been rejected. When you select Reinstate a screen will appear showing all the details of the docket. You can either just click on the red Reinstate button or if you selected Reinstate/Correct you can change some of the fields, e.g. Effective Date would have to be changed to Manual by clicking on Auto and then click Save.
In the Export Alteration field you can select whether it is to:
- No. (Means it will not export. You should not select this unless you are raising a placeholder as no emails will be sent).
- Hire Company Only
- Hire Company and Trading Partner
- Trading Partner only
Reinstatement when original transfer on docket was invoiced to another trading partner
There could be occasions where the original transfer on to your account was raised in error to another trading partner. This trading partner is likely to reject the transfer and then the sender will ask you to accept it on to your account.
The transfer would normally show up in your account as uninvoiced in Data\Dockets. The sender could then either ask you to authorise a correction on to your account or they may offer to raise a new docket.
Correct on to your account
If you opt to authorise a correction on to your account then you should send an email to the hire company and make a note against the original docket that you have entered.
Raise a new docket
If you authorise the trading partner to raise a new docket then ask them to send you a copy and enter it. You should cancel the original docket but make notes in each docket of the corresponding docket number. You will need to consider what effective date you will accept.
