EDO Equipment Days Offset

EDO Equipment Days Offset

Overview

EDOs only apply to CHEP equipment.  Loscam do not have this facility.

EDO or Equipment Days Offset is an agreement between trading partners which CHEP automatically apply. This means that CHEP will apply the delay regardless of the transaction data sent to them. EDOs can be put in place either by:
  • sending a notification to your trading partners advising them of the delays you want to apply and sending a copy of this notification to CHEP along with a signed copy of an EDO form.
  • signing an EDO form along with your trading partner and forwarding it to CHEP.

How to tell if an EDO is in place

You can tell if EDO rules are being applied to transactions by looking at the PDF invoice.  An EDO is in place if the following displays:
  1. Movement Date and Effective Date are the same and there is a number in the Delay Days field.

Date Corrections for EDO transactions

CHEP will not allow you to correct an effective date if there is an EDO in place.  You can correct the movement date which will then automatically adjust the effective date.  In PalletWatch Reconcile if the movement dates are different for an EDO transfer then the Movement Dates will appear in red and you can accept or correct whichever Movement Date is correct.

It should be noted that if an EDO customer agrees to process your old transfers at a date they specify then the automatic EDO delay will be added.  The EDO customer can only change the movement date, not the effective date.
